Mine Safety & Training have a unique program for those wanting to get into the mining industry.

Course Outline

2 days of familiarisation entry level person to gain the basics of underground skills and knowledge. We offer practical and theory learning with equipment. awareness of emergency procedures, refuge chamber, discuss hazard identification, common rules and regulations when on site and working underground, wearing all PPE required, how ot install and maintain vital infrastructure underground from ventilation, water, air, power, and communication cabling.

We also cover camp life, PPE requirements, self rescuer usage, health and wellbeing and working as a team.

Start Time:

The Underground Mine Simulator induction training commences at 8am and finished at 4:30pm. Pleasure ensure you are onsite and ready to start. Your inductions will be run over 2 consecutive days.
 

Morning Tea and Lunch

Morning tea is provided. We have a fridge and microwave facilities to store your lunch and there are plenty of food shops close by.
 

Dress Code

Long pants and along sleeve shirt with reflective stripes is essential. Steel capped work boots are required and medium to long hair to be tied up. PPE equipment will be issued on the day by your trainer.

Parking

Please park inside the MST carpark and the front lawn is an overflow parking area.

Mobile Phones

Are to be on silent for the duration of the course.
