Mine Safety & Training PTY LTD (MST) was founded by Peter Nicholls after having spent 37 years working in the mining industry in Australia, Ghana, Mali, Egypt and South Africa working in various operational roles on the surface and underground.
Peter moved into senior Safety management positions working with both contractors and owner operators.
Peter has both the hands on practical experience in implementing and managing safety systems, as well as the expertise to deal with the legislative compliance requirements faced by all companies.
Peter has formal qualifications as a lead auditor, training and assessing and OHS graduating from Curtin University with a high distinction.
Peter was also an integral contributor on the committee that developed the diesel emissions guideline in Western Australia, the prevention of fires underground and refuge chambers. Peter has also developed and implemented diesel particulate management plans in the mining industry.
