Conducting mining inductions at Mine Safety and Training’s state of the art training facility which includes working at heights, confined space, tagging and isolation.

This course is based on the national competency standards and provides you with the knowledge, theory and practical ability to prepare you for all safety and practical aspects working safely in confined spaces and all aspects working safely in gas testing atmospheres. 

This course will also allow you to gain a sound understanding of all the Principles of hazard management and emergency response when working in confined spaces (including common hazard management measures such as lock-out procedures, atmospheric purging and use of breathing apparatus).

This course can be personalised for all skill levels and consists of a theory and practicum assessments.

What's Involved?

Whether you’ve chosen to do your ticket at our Malaga training facility, or using our Mobile Training Service, you’ll enjoy comprehensive face-to-face training which will take approximately take a whole day to complete.

Sessions run from 8.00am to 4.30pm.

Costs & Materials

Our course costs of $300, includes all required materials and your certification in the end. 

Requirements

  • Students must have the language, literacy, numeracy (LLN) and physical capabilities to meet the performance criteria of this unit.

  • Students must wear standard work wear, enclosed work boots, long-sleeved shirt and pants and belt.
